Description

The MAXSpline Shaft - Polycarbonate brings the versatility of the MAXSpline profile to lightweight mechanisms where reducing mass is a priority. Designed for intakes, conveyors, and other low load assemblies, this shaft provides an easy way to build rotating structures without the weight of aluminum. It shares the same MAXSpline outer geometry as the aluminum version, allowing it to interface with wheels, sprockets, pulleys, and other MAXSpline bore components across the REV ION System.

Although the shaft is not intended for high torque or heavy structural loads, it excels in applications where quick response, low inertia, and ease of fabrication matter most. The shaft can be cut with a bandsaw, hacksaw, or similar tools using the same workflow teams already use for aluminum MAXSpline Shaft, making it simple to customize lengths during prototyping or iteration. The inner profile maintains compatibility with bearings and bushings like the 1/2in Rounded Hex Bearing (REV-21-3197-PK4), allowing smooth rotation when used with a 1/2in rounded hex deadaxle.

This new polycarbonate option gives teams a lightweight, cost effective way to expand their MAXSpline based designs while preserving the familiar geometry and integration flexibility of the ION System.
