By pairing the Universal Input Stage V2 with the 15T Spline Input Coupler, the kit ensures the motor and gearbox align correctly so the NEO 2.0 flats sit flush, giving you a low profile, compact gearbox setup.
MAXPlanetary Universal Input Stage V2 (REV-21-2146)
The Universal Input Stage V2 is the upgraded mounting solution for integrating a broad range of FRC motors into MAXPlanetary. This redesign improves strength and expands compatibility by adding a 1.375 inch bolt circle and clocking the CIM class motor pattern to 45 degrees, allowing the NEO 2.0 flats to nest cleanly against the housing for tighter packaging. The mounting tabs are also twice as thick as the previous version, creating a more rigid interface between the motor, input stage, and gearbox stack for dependable performance across high torque and lightweight mechanisms.
MAXPlanetary 15T Spline Input Coupler (REV-21-2138)
The 15T Spline Input Coupler features an ISO standard 8mm 15T spline that matches the NEO 2.0 output shaft and other motors using the same spline standard, including SplineXS shafts (Kraken and Minion). Its through bore design allows the coupler to integrate into MAXPlanetary without requiring shaft modification in most builds, making it a simple, robust way to adapt spline based motors into the MAXPlanetary ecosystem.
